By using Climbprofile you agree to the terms below. This is a small side project and the language here is intentionally plain. If anything is unclear, email [email protected].
The service
Climbprofile is a route and climb analysis tool for cyclists. It is currently in alpha. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. Data loss, while unlikely, is possible. Take your own backups of anything you care about.
Your account
You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping access to that account safe. You may not share your account with others, use it to abuse the service, or use it in ways that violate applicable law.
Your content
GPX files and route metadata you upload remain yours. By uploading, you grant Climbprofile a limited licence to store, process, and display that content back to you in order to run the service. We do not use your content for training, for advertising, or for any purpose other than running the app.
Subscriptions and billing
Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from the customer portal on the pricing page; you keep access to paid features until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If something goes wrong, email us.
Acceptable use
- No scraping, reverse engineering, or automated bulk use of the service.
- No attempts to break, overload, or probe the infrastructure.
- No uploading unlawful content.
Availability
There is no uptime guarantee. The service runs on Vercel and Firebase, which are generally reliable, but outages happen and we may take the app offline for maintenance without warning.
Liability
Climbprofile is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. Route data, elevation, and climb detection output are best-effort and may contain errors. Do not use Climbprofile as the sole basis for safety decisions on the road. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
Termination
You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or put the service at risk.
Changes
These terms may change as the product evolves. The date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be announced on the changelog page.
