Climbprofile is a small, solo-run side project. This page explains what data is collected, why it exists, and how you can get rid of it. If anything here is unclear, email [email protected].

Who runs this

Climbprofile is operated by a single independent developer. There is no company behind it and no marketing department. Contact goes through the email above.

What data we collect

  • Account data. If you sign in, we receive your email address and basic profile info from Google (the only sign-in provider). We do not see your Google password.
  • Route data. The GPX files you upload and metadata about the routes you create (names, notes, points of interest, climb detection output). Stored in Firestore, scoped to your account.
  • Billing data. If you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe processes your payment and stores your billing details. Climbprofile receives a customer identifier and subscription status only. We never see card numbers.
  • Basic server logs. Request logs from the hosting provider, retained briefly for operational and security purposes.

What we do with it

  • Sign you in and keep you signed in.
  • Store and display your routes.
  • Process subscription payments through Stripe.
  • Keep the service running and investigate issues.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising. There is no advertising here.

Who processes it

  • Google Firebase (authentication, Firestore).
  • Vercel (hosting).
  • Stripe (payments, if you subscribe).
  • Mapbox (map tiles, if you view a route).

Cookies

Climbprofile uses cookies only to keep you signed in. There is no analytics cookie, no tracking pixel, and no third-party marketing tag.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correction of anything wrong, or full deletion of everything tied to your account. Email [email protected]. Deletion requests are processed within a reasonable time and always within 30 days.

Retention

Route and account data are kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, the data tied to it is removed from Firestore. Stripe retains billing records according to its own policies and applicable tax law.

Changes

This policy may change as the product evolves. The date at the top reflects the most recent version.
